General Product FAQs
Are the products recyclable?
Yes; all our disposable dishes and plastic products are #6 PS Polystyrene. We highly encourage our customers to recycle the products after use.
The product I want is out of stock! When will you be getting them back in?
We try our best to have enough stock of all our products, however, sometimes, due to high customer demand; a product may be out of stock. Please contact us to find out when a specific product will be back in stock.
Are your products reusable?
If you are looking for reusable products, please check out our Govino glasses, stemless glasses, and our selection of acrylic dishes and drinkware. The rest of our products are intended for one-time use, however, some of our plastic dishes can be used again if they are gently hand washed. The silver or gold from the China-Like Plastic Plates and Bowls may rub off when you wash them. Serving bowls, trays and pitchers can be used multiple times, however.
Are the products dishwasher safe?
We do not recommend dishwashing our products, unless otherwise stated.
What size serving bowl should I get?
That really depends on what you're serving. If you have large salads with lettuce, then you'll want a 128 oz bowl, but if you're serving smaller salads, then you only need a 64 oz bowl or smaller. For side salads, we suggest using the Lillian condiment bowls.
Plastic Plate FAQs
I am working with a small budget, which plate would you recommend for me?
Our lowest priced hard plastic plate is the Flairware collection. They are available in white, clear, or black. They are made from very thick plastic and have a very classy style. If you are having a large party, you can buy by the case and enjoy even more savings!
As well, Partytrends offers a large selection of value pack plastic plates that could work with any budget. You can choose from white, clear, black, silver, and gold plates and bowls. Although not as thick as the Flairware collection, they are also made from a very durable plastic.
Is there a difference in quality between the different plastic plates?
Yes; the thickness and quality varies with different designs. We tell our customers that if you are having a sit down meal with the plates already on the table, all the plates would work. If you are having a buffet, or serving the food on the plate then you should stay with one of our better quality options.
What are the most popular plates?
Our most popular plates are the China-Like Plastic Plates and Bowls ones. Most of them come in 10.5" or 10.25", 9", 7.25", 12 oz bowls, and 5 oz bowls. The Silver Splendor come in 6" plates as well. They are all excellent quality plates and will have your guests mesmerised that they are plastic.
What are "China-Like Plastic Plates and Bowls"?
The China-Like Plastic Plates and Bowls are plastic plates and bowls that look like real china or porcelain. They are high quality plates that you can count on to look good for any occasion - whether it be a wedding, dinner party, or a brunch - without the hassle of real china.
What size plate should I buy?
If you're having a sit down dinner, then you'll want a 10", 10.25", or 10.5" plate. For a brunch, buffet, or just a casual get together, then the 9" plates are great. For the salad or appetizer course, the 7", 7.25", or 7.5" plate is best. If you plan on serving a lot of different salads and appetizers during your appetizer course, then you may want to look at getting a 9" plate. Just make sure to compare it to your dinner plate, as you do want it to look nice on the table.
For dessert, it depends on what you're serving. If you are only serving cake, then a 5.5", 6", 6.25", or 6.5" plate would work nicely. If you're serving something more than cake, like fruit and cookies, then you may want a bigger plate. The 7", 7.25", and 7.5" plates would work well for those cases.
Can the plastic plates handle hot food?
Yes; all our products can be used with hot or cold food.
Can the plates go in the freezer or microwave?
The plastic plates are not microwave safe, however, there shouldn't be a problem with them going in the freezer.
Plastic Cutlery FAQs
Which is the most popular cutlery?
Our most popular cutlery are the polished kind. They come in gold or silver and the silver polished cutlery has 3 different designs for different prices. The highest quality silver polished cutlery are the Silver Secrets options.
What is polished cutlery?
Polished cutlery is plastic cutlery that looks like real silver or gold. They are very nice on table and look perfect with the China-Like Plastic Plates and Bowls. Your guests will not know they are plastic until they pick them up!
What is the strongest plastic cutlery?
All of our cutlery are very durable. The Lillian plastic cutlery is our strongest available cutlery. In the polished cutlery category, the Silver Secrets and the Gold Secrets are the most durable.
I am serving steak - can I use plastic cutlery?
You may want to choose from our Lillian cutlery, as it is the strongest options. These come in clear, white, silver, and gold and all four colours come as forks, knives, teaspoons, and soupspoons.
Paper Napkin FAQs
What is a linen-like napkin?
The linen-like napkins feel like real linen and are higher quality napkins than our paper napkins. These napkins are perfect if you want to add a little extra class to your meal. These are our most popular napkins.
Plastic Cup FAQs
Are all the plastic cups the same quality?
No; if you're looking for soft plastic - the type that bends when you squeeze it - then you'll want to take a look at our smoothie cups. If you want something a little stronger, then our Savvi Serve tumblers are perfect. If you want extremely strong, then take a look at our Renaissance plastic tumblers.
What size cup should I get?
That depends on what you're serving. If you're serving soft drinks, juices, and water then the 8 oz and 10 oz are the perfect size. Most beer cans are approximately 12 US fl oz or 355 ml, which means that you'll need a 12 oz, 14 oz, or 16 oz cup. For cocktails, as they usually have ice in them, you may want to get a tumbler that is 12 oz, 14 oz, or 16 oz.
What cup should I get for tea and coffee?
The best option are the mugs, as they have a handle and are able to handle hot food. Click here for our mugs. The paper cups are thin and some customers feel that the cup feels too hot when you use them for hot beverages.
Wine Glass FAQs
What's the difference between the wine glasses?
Each wine glass has its own style and size. Our wine glasses come in 5 oz, 5.5 oz, and 8 oz. Some of our options are simple and plain, whilst others have designs. The best way to choose your wine glasses are to choose your tumblers first, and then you can match them.
